Getting a young person back to school isn't always as simple as getting them through the school gate. Our Attendance Navigators are finding different ways to build confidence, connection and belonging for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.

One young person gave us a one-word answer when we asked what we could provide that we weren't already: “Food.” What started as a quick community food drive has become an ongoing resource for young people and whānau who need a little extra help.

Te Tahi Youth is part of the Christchurch East and Central Attendance Service, supporting rangatahi and whānau to overcome barriers to education through relationship-based, personalised support.
