How does it work?

You choose how you'd like to support

There's more than one way to make a difference. Whether you're an individual, a business, or part of a community group, there are plenty of ways to support Te Tahi Youth beyond making a donation. From workplace giving and corporate partnerships to volunteering your time, donating goods, or leaving a lasting legacy, every contribution helps us continue supporting rangatahi and whānau when they need it most.

What does support allow us to do?

[Students at Papanui High School held a bake sale to raise funds for Te Tahi, then used the money to purchase Christmas gifts for our rangatahi. They carefully chose items they thought other young people would like to receive.]

Every day, young people walk through our doors looking for someone to listen, somewhere safe to turn, or practical help to get them through a difficult time. Thanks to our community of supporters, we're able to offer free health and wellbeing services, so cost never has to be the reason someone misses out.

The truth is, support looks different for everyone.

Some people choose to give a little each month, helping cover the everyday costs that keep Te Tahi running. One of our monthly supporters helps pay for the hosting of this website, making it possible for more people to find us and access support. This website was also designed and built by a super cool staff member who generously donated their time and skills, so more of our funding could go directly towards supporting rangatahi. Others help fill a shopping trolley during one of our food drives. Those groceries don't sit on a shelf, they're packed into food parcels and given to rangatahi and whānau who need a bit of extra support. Some people volunteer their time, share their skills, or simply lend a hand when we need it.

Every act of generosity, big or small, becomes something real. A counselling session. A health appointment. A warm meal. A safe space. Someone who listens. A young person knowing they're not facing things on their own.

That's what your support makes possible.
