Our new premises at Eastgate will give rangatahi access to the health, wellbeing and support services they need, all in one welcoming, youth-friendly space.
Thanks to the generosity of our partners and supporters, this project is already well underway. Now we're inviting our community to help us complete the fit-out and create a space where every young person feels safe and supported.

The project.
For many years, Te Tahi Youth called Amuri Park home. It was where our medical, counselling, youth work and support services all operated under one roof, allowing our team to work together and provide truly wraparound care for young people.
When we learned the building would be demolished, we had an opportunity to rethink not just where we worked, but how we could better meet the needs of the young people we support.
After exploring a range of options, we chose to relocate to The Loft at Eastgate Mall. Alongside our shared office space with other community organisations, we've secured a standalone tenancy that will become the main delivery site for Te Tahi Youth.
East Ōtautahi is home to around 40% of the rangatahi we currently support, making it the right place to base our services. The location is easy to reach by public transport, offers ample parking, and provides a discreet setting where young people can access support without feeling singled out.
This new space will allow us to bring our team back together under one roof. By co-locating our health, wellbeing and social support services, we'll return to the integrated, wraparound model that has always been at the heart of Te Tahi Youth.
This project has been more than 12 months in the making...

Running for Rangatahi.
Our campaign with Crusade with Heart.
This November, Crusaders Team Manager Aaron “Webby” Webb, Shane Thrower, former All Blacks and Crusaders Kieran Read, Ryan Crotty and Colin Slade will take on the New York City Marathon, running 42.2km to raise funds for Te Tahi Youth.
Together, they're aiming to raise at least $120,000 to help complete this project and create more capacity for rangatahi to access the support they need.
For Shane and Webby, the campaign is personal. The pair first met more than 20 years ago while working with young people facing significant challenges, and their commitment to supporting rangatahi has continued ever since.
Shane also knows what it means to overcome circumstances that can seem impossible. After a serious brain injury left him having to relearn how to walk and talk, he was told he may never work or compete in sport again. More than 20 years later, he's preparing to run one of the world's biggest marathons.
His story reflects something we see every day: where you start doesn't have to determine where you end up.
